Progress!

In the last few blog posts, I have felt repetitive saying over and over – still waiting for the financial channels, still waiting for a bank account, still waiting for a TEP, still waiting, still waiting. While not much has changed in my day to day business or studying Chichewa and preparing to go, I do have news! We have successfully opened a financial channel for donations! A project agreement has been signed with Siloam Development Foundation for the donations that come in for me. It’s been a new road for me which is often feel is full of muddy potholes. However, it is opened now and we are very thankful.

For those of you who are interested, you can send cheques to SDF (Siloam Development Foundation) with my name clearly marked in the memo line. These can be mailed to Box 478, Nobleford, AB, T0L 1S0. If you would like to explore other options (like e-transfer), please email us for details.

In the meantime, I have been learning to drive standard. The first lesson I felt like I had it down pat but the second time.... I was eating humble pie. It’s been an adventure and I’m still learning.

Chichewa lessons are also going well and I always look forward to the next one. I have hit a wall though and need some review before continuing to learn new concepts. My brain is saturated at the moment. I can only imagine what it might be like when I am actually surrounded with the language all day every day!
